The City of Mooresville, NC Backs Skateboarding

When Mooresville, North Carolina first hit us up with the good ol’ “can y’all help us do a skateboarding thing” we were hyped and dove right into showing them how The Boardr Series works.

Before we dive into Mooresville, we want to let you know that our friends at JACKALOPE are running a Golden Ticket contest to find the most underrated skaters in the world. Manny Santiago and Christiana Means are judging street. PLG and Amelia Brodka are judging vert. Winners get a fully covered trip to compete in the JACKALOPE 2025 VERT and STREET contests in Virginia Beach, Mississauga, and Montréal. Check the promo video and more information here and come up on that Golden Ticket. You only have one month to get in on this!

So, on Mooresville, their reply on us being all in was “Let’s enhance that, quadruple the purse, and make sure to include Stardust Skate Shop.”

Visit Mooresville is taking The Boardr Series up a notch!

Visit Mooresville Presents Race City Open in Association with USA Skateboarding

Mooresville, North Carolina on April 11th and 12th has a Special Edition of The Boardr Series going down called Race City Open.

Friday, April 11th at 128 Broad Street

Friday night, April 11th at 6pm, there’s a line contest on Broad Street. Street View has it looking like some damn good ground.

Local breweries and food trucks will be on site inside the Mooresville Social District, along with an art show featuring regional skaters @east.concepts on N. Main St. from 4pm to 8pm.

Saturday, April 12th at Mooresville Skatepark

Saturday, April 12th starts with the Bowl Contest Presented by US Performance Center. Check-in at 8am for the 10am contest.

At noon, there are three best trick contests with a Women’s Division, 12 and Under, 13 and Up, and Open Division. The Open Division winners take home $1,000 for 1st, $750 for 2nd, and $500 for 3rd.

We’ve also got Head to Head Races free and open to anyone going down at 3pm in those same divisions. Winner of each division gets $100!

Mooresville is going to be barn burner weekend and we hope to see you there.
